Help Us Continue to be Successful

Make a donation so we can continue to provide activities for people with a brain injury living in the Roanoke area.

Who We Are

Our volunteers provide unique activities to over 100 adult brain injury survivors (including those with recent as well as longer-term brain injuries), their caregivers and/or families who live in the Roanoke Valley. These activities provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

When survivors see other survivors doing things they never thought they could do, they become inspired to try new things. Many people with a brain injury lose their old friends and social networks. The activities we offer help fill that void in their lives.

We all know someone whose life has been impacted by brain injury from...a car accident, a fall, a tumor, a stroke, a sports related head injury, a war combat head injury...

Our mission is to prevent brain injury through public awareness and education, to improve the quality of life by providing support to individuals with a brain injury, their families, and caregivers.

Many returning soldiers and veterans have suffered devastating injuries, including brain injuries, for which inadequate community and/or government support has led to continued struggles. These are among the population we serve.

Brain injuries affect a broad spectrum of people and our programs are unmatched in the communities we serve. Our volunteers provide over 50 opportunities a year for people with a brain injury to integrate into the community.
